One of Turkey's most prestigious project is coming to life again. After Marmaray, which is considered to be the project of the century and continues to serve, the Eurasian Tube Passage Project also lags behind. The project started in April of 2014, and the drilling from the bottom of the sea to the tunnel continued unabated. In the tunnel, it is learned that there is no section to be excavated in the last 20 meter.
THE MOST HARDER CHAPTER IS BACK
Drilling operations under the 27 meter of the Bosphorus will end with a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. After the 5.4 long-distance drilling, the excavating machine will land under the sea. After this phase, which is shown as the most difficult part of the project, construction works will be started without losing time for the tube passage. When completed, the Eurasia Tunnel Project will serve in the Kazlıçeşme-Göztepe line, where Istanbul traffic is intense. The project, which covers a total of 14.6 kilometers, will consist of a two-storey tunnel under the sea and connection tunnels to be constructed with different methods. In addition, road expansion and improvement works will be carried out on the 9.2 kilometer in Europe and Asia. With the launch of the Eurasian Tunnel, the journey time of 100 will be reduced to 15 minutes with the busiest traffic in Istanbul.
