Mecca-Medina is connected by high-speed train line: AL Shoula company association is running the line connecting Mecca and Medina with each other.
The line will also serve between Jeddah, King Abdullah Airport and King Abdullah economic center between Mecca and Medina.
The Al Shoula group of companies consists of 10 Spanish companies and 2 Saudi companies. Spanish companies are ADIF, RENFE, INECO, INDRA, OHL, CONSULTRANS, COPASA, IMATHIA, COBRA, DIMETRONIC, INEBENSA and TALGO. The Saudi companies are Al Shoula and Al Rosan, which gave the name to the union.
(sedra) was incorporated into the Al Shoula partnership at sedra Group Company. (sedra) has undertaken important projects and tasks such as the adaptation of rails to high speed rail systems between King Abdullah economic center and jeddah stations.
This project is expected to be completed in the year 2016 and the project is planned to provide a more modern service especially for pilgrims coming to the country.
