Between Ipoh-Padang Besar is Electrified in Malaysia: The electrification works between Ipoh-Padang Besar have been completed. The line was renewed bidirectionally with 25 kV 50 Hz electricity.
The Malaysian transport minister, Liow Tiong Lai, even conducted a test drive and made inspections. After the test drive, 9 started to serve as a line official in July.
The line between Ipoh-Padang Besar and 10 were opened in July and the Kuala Lumpur-Padang Besar line was fully opened in July.
Minister Liow Tiong Lai said in a statement that the line has passed all the tests successfully and that the citizens will be provided with better quality and faster service.
