Construction of Jakarta-Bondung High Speed ​​Line in Indonesia Begins: The Indonesian cabinet held a meeting on high-speed systems in the country.

President Joko Widodo said during the meeting that the construction of the high-speed train line between Jakarta and Bondung will begin next month.

Economy Minister Sofyan Djalil said in an interview with press members that Chinese and Japanese companies have completed the feasibility studies and estimated the cost of the construction of the line to be 3,75 billion dollars.

The Japanese firm's offer will start from Manggarai in Jakarta and will be a station between the two cities. The Chinese company proposed that the line will start from the Halim region in the east of Jakarta and go all the way to Bodung.

President Jokowi said in a recent statement that they will accept the offer of the Japanese firm. He also said that the high speed train project will make significant contributions to the development and economy of the country.
