British partner in the US high-speed train project: The British company Network Rail Parsons was included in the project led by Brinckerhoff. The team was set up to work for the California high-speed rail system presidency (CHSRA) project.
The project developed by CHSRA involves the integration of the popular regions of the states with high speed lines. In this way, it is aimed to provide economic advantages and at the same time to minimize environmental pollution.
The line for the first part of the project is planned to connect San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles. The project is planned to be extended to Sacramento and San Diego, with a total of 1200 km.
Network Rail, which currently serves as consultant and maintenance for many lines in the UK, will be responsible for the consultancy, maintenance and financial transactions of the project.
