Akşemseddin Ship Bayramda Filled Day: Due to the Ramadan Feast, the last day of the holiday Iznik-Orhangazi free of charge to the citizens attracted great interest.
The BURULAŞ and BUDO officials, who had arranged three rounds, were pleased with the interest shown.
Iznik Mayor Osman Sargın offered a different journey to the people of Iznik and Orhangazi with the proposal of free Iznik-Orhangazi voyages on the 3rd of Ramadan Feast, Sunday, 19 July 2015.
The Akşemseddin Ship, which combines İznik and Orhangazi side, has been free of charge because of the Bayram, and the two districts were fused together and the feast was easy. Orhangazili Citizens who flocked to the coast of Iznik had the opportunity to see and tour the historical monuments.
Speaking about the ship voyages that take place free of charge on the 3rd day of Ramadan Feast, Iznik Mayor Osman Sargın said, “Bayram is our days when our relatives, friends and elders are visited, and the helping hand is extended to the sick, orphans and the needy. Akşemseddin Ship expeditions have brought the two sides of İznik Lake together. Citizens of Iznik and Orhangazi are now closer to each other on holidays. Our citizens have found and used the opportunity to cross Iznik Lake by ship today. I would like to thank the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Recep Altepe, and the officials of BURULAŞ and BUDO for the opportunity they offered to the people of İznik ”.
Due to the high demand, the passengers had to wait for other flights when there was no space left on board. Citizens who had the opportunity to travel for the first time on Lake İznik expressed their gratitude to Recep Altepe, Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Osman Sargın and BURULAŞ and BUDO for their facilities.
