Turkish company Yüksel İnşaat won the tender for this. Yüksel İnşaat will realize the project called Riyadh Rapid Bus Transit System for 2.29 billion Saudi Riyals, or 614 million dollars.

The project submitted to the Riyadh Infrastructure Authority (Ar-Riyadh Development Authority) will consist of 21 different units. Ahmet Halavuk, General Manager of Yüksel İnşaat, said that the King Abdulaziz Transport System will be the most important pillar of the project and that 7 overpasses will be built in the planning. 4 thousand 500 people are planned to work in the project. The project, which will connect Riyadh from one end to the other, is expected to be completed in May 2016. The infrastructure works of the project to be carried out in Riyadh, the most populous city of the country with a population of 30 million with 6 million, will be carried out together with Damman University.

As will be remembered, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality designed the Metrobus Line built in Lahore, one of the most important cities of Pakistan.
