Gulf Crossing Bridge to be Closed to Traffic

The Gulf Crossing Bridge will be Closed to Traffic: The Gulf Crossing Bridge will be closed to traffic between 31 and May-4 June.
Gulf waters will be closed to traffic between 3 May and 31 June due to the efforts to reconnect the connection lines between the two bridge pillars, known as the 'Cat Road', which broke on the Gulf Crossing Bridge 4 months ago.
It was announced that the Gulf of Sultan will be closed to ship traffic due to the assembly of the ropes known as the 'Catwalk' on the İzmit Bay Crossing Bridge, which is the most important leg of the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir Otоyоl Project. Due to the new connection road works to be carried out by the company that monitors the connection ropes, between May 31 Sunday and Thursday, June 4, 08-00. In 18 hours, the Gulf will be closed to the ship entrance and exit. It is expected that the disruption due to the broken rope and the works on the Gulf Crossing Bridge, whose end date is advanced, are expected to be completed in the summer months.
