“WE ARE WAITING OUR TRAINS AT HAYDARPAŞA GARI”

Eyüp Muhcu, Chairman of the Chamber of Architects and a member of Haydarpaşa Solidarity, also read the statement on behalf of the group. Muhcu said that the main train trains were stopped in 1908, with the Marmaray efforts being made as an excuse for the train services that started in 2012, and then suburban flights were stopped in 2013.

Reminding the statements made by the authorities at that time, Muhcu said, “The Minister of Transport of the period, Binali Yıldırım and the TCDD officials, made statements by saying that the train services were stopped within the scope of the Marmaray project and that the trains will start their flights again 2 years later. After 2 years have passed since the end of the Commuter Trains, the Marmaray project will be completed on June 18, 2015 and train services will be started. For this reason, we are waiting for our trains at Haydarpaşa Train Station. ”

“1 MILLION PASSENGERS WERE NOT USED IN 36 YEAR TRAINS”

It is preferred to stop the trains for known reasons. Thanks to the understanding of power that acts with the logic of 'I did it'; citizens' right to access transportation and public services has been denied.

For this reason, 7 million passengers in one year could not benefit from trains, including 29 million from the main line trains and 1 million from the suburban trains. To date, nearly 36 million passengers have been deprived of trains ”
Stating that Haydarpaşa Solidarity will be a follower of the process, Muhcu said, “We will continue to wait for our trains at Haydarpaşa Station, which is the symbol of Transportation structures. Keep in mind; The train hits those who rent the trains and those who do not fulfill their promises. Haydarpaşa is the 'People's Station'. Our spaces, memories and social memory. We will not let it be destroyed. ”
