Bozdağ Ski Facilities, which was built in 1994 with the aim of making it the Uludağ of the Aegean Region in winter tourism, was operated by the Special Provincial Administration or tenant companies until 2013. In 2013, as a result of avalanches, the runways and chairlift were closed when they were damaged. The facilities remained closed due to the lack of an allowance of 1 million TL required for repairs. After the Special Provincial Administrations were closed in 2014, the facility was transferred to the General Directorate of Forestry.

The General Directorate of Forestry opened a tender to rent the facility for 29 years. 5 bids received for the tender held on June 4th at the Bayındır Forestry Operation Directorate. According to the information obtained from İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry, two entrepreneurs could not pass the qualification criteria. The highest bid for the rent of the facility, whose price is 110 thousand liras per year, came from the entrepreneur named Yakup Kadri Birinci. The result of the tender will be finalized after the approval of the Regional Directorate of Forestry. Bozdağ Ski Facilities, which is located within the borders of Ödemiş District of İzmir, which is owned by the General Directorate of Forestry, includes a hotel and dining hall building, a closed area of ​​3 thousand 53 square meters, a two-storey building, a teleski and a chair lift.
