Weekly Rail Traffic Decreases in the USA

Weekly Railway Traffic Volume Decreased in the USA: The total volume of rail transport in the USA ended with May 16, falling 2,9 percent compared to the same week the previous year, reaching 549 wagons. According to the data announced weekly by the US Railways Association (AAR), wagon and freight transportation decreased by 199 percent to 10,0 thousand 269, while Intermodal transportation increased by 92 percent to 4,9 thousand 280. In the same week, rail transportation in Canada decreased by 107 percent to 2,6 wagons, while in Mexico it was determined to be 143 wagons with an increase of 366 percent. Thus, the total rail transport of North America decreased by 3,2 percent to 27 thousand 755.
