Siemens announces 1.7 Billion Euro worth contract (Special News)

Siemens 1.7 Billion has signed a Euro-worth contract: Thousands of Turkish citizens have signed an agreement with Siemens 1.7 billion Eurodesen for the railway line to be built in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany. The number of vehicles to be supplied for the Rhine Ruhr Express (RRX) project is 82, and the contractor will provide the Siemens Desiro HC electric vehicle as well as the 32 annual maintenance of the line. With this maintenance period, Siemens Germany has signed a separate maintenance concept for railways.

The new maintenance area will be built in the Dortmund-Eving area, and the 150 million Euro technological investment area will be the largest maintenance center in the North Rhine-Westphalia area. In this warehouse where more than 100 experts will work, the vehicles to be provided for 32 years will also be maintained.

The first vehicle in 2018

The first Siemens Desiro tool will be delivered at the beginning of 2018. It is planned to carry more passengers with the double-decker Desiro wagons in the area to be operated at 160 km / h. The Desiro tool consists of an 4 array and has a length of 105 m. During the operation, the 2 train is connected to the 800 passenger capacity.

RayHaberSpeaking to Siemens, CEO of Siemens Mobility, Johen Eicholt underlined that this is the great success of Siemens. Eicholt, who saw this service as a work of art for the North Rhine-Westphalia region where people live intensely and where fast transportation is required, said that Siemens' success in railways will continue.
