Work on the 14.6-kilometer Eurasia Tunnel project for automobiles under the Bosphorus continues rapidly. Within the scope of the project, which will reduce the travel time between Göztepe and Kazlıçeşme from 100 minutes to 15 minutes, there is 3 kilometer left to the completion of the 340-meter excavation works.
THE LAST 1 KILOMETER IN THE GIANT PROJECT
The tunnel boring machine named Yıldırım Beyazıd has completed the excavation of the 2-meter section. The machine, which started excavation from Haydarpaşa on the Asian side, is expected to be on the European side in September. According to the news of Takvim, work continues in the other stages of the project. The first approach tunnel that will bring the tunnel under the Bosphorus to Eyüp Aksoy Junction on the Anatolian Side has been completed.
