Eminonu-Alibeykoy tram line will be completed in 30 months: Kadir Topbas, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, announced that they will build a new tram between Eminonu and Alibeykoy.

Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Topbaş made a surprise statement at the groundbreaking ceremony of the walking track of Eyüp Municipality in Göktürk. Topbaş gave the Istanbulites the good news of a new tram line that will ease transportation in Fatih, Eyüp and Bayrampaşa districts. Explaining the project for the first time, Topbaş said, “We made the preparations for a 12-kilometer tram starting from Eminönü, passing through Fatih beaches, Eyüp beaches and coming to Alibeyköy Pocket Bus Station. Thus, we hope for a bicycle path next to God. This is also important as a rail system. There will be a tram going from Eyüp Merkez to Bayrampaşa. That tram line will be integrated into this. We will show the opportunity to travel on the Golden Horn coast by tram. We will now move the Feshane events to a tent concept in Yenikapı. Thus, traffic density will be prepared. We have a different project for Feshane. We are considering a clothing museum close to the past fezhane concept. ”

NEW TRAMWAY WILL BE COMPLETED IN 30

The 12-kilometer Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram line, which was given by President Topbaş, consists of 18 stations. The new tram line, which will reduce the travel time between Eminönü and Alibeyköy pocket bus station to 30 minutes, will have a capacity of 25 thousand passengers per hour.

Eminönü, Küçükpazar, Kadir Has University, Fener, Balat, Feshane, Eyüp Cable Car, State Hospital, Silahtar, Bilgi University, Alibeyköy Merkez, Alibeyköy Metro Stop and Alibeyköy Cep Bus Station stations are also available from Eyüp Square to Demirkapı and Bayrampaşa. It will be integrated by connecting with a separate line. A bicycle path will be built right next to the new tram line, and a green line will be created by preserving the green texture in the area where the rails pass.
