The EIA process of the three-storey tunnel passage project planned to be completed in Istanbul was started. The report prepared by the Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu was presented to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The three-storey tunnel section will be 16.8 meters in diameter, 110 meters in depth from the sea surface, and 60-65 meters in the Bosphorus where it passes. The length of the three-storey section where the subway and the highway are together will be 6.5 kilometers. There will be an 31 station at the 14 kilometer-long metro section between İncirli and Söğütlüçeşme. The fast subway segment with the capacity of 1.5 million passengers per day and 75 thousand passengers per hour in one direction will be integrated with the nine rail system. The integrated rail systems will use 6.5 million passengers daily. Incirli-Sogutlucesme 40 minutes will be held. The highway section of the project will cover the TEM Motorway Hasdal Junction-Ümraniye Çamlık Junction and the total length will be 16 thousand 150 meters. On the European side, the pre-3 storey tunnel section will be 5 thousand 600 meters, the 3 deck tunnel 6 thousand 500 meters, and the Asian side 3 deck post-tunnel section will be 4 thousand 50 meters long. Travel from Hasdal to Çamlık Junction takes place in 14 minutes. The road segment to be used by cars and minibuses has a capacity of 120 thousand vehicles per day. The number of lanes will be “2 × 2 ″.
