In Salihli, the young girl died under the train: In the Salihli District of Manisa, 19-year-old Ayşe Tuğçe Ercan died when the train hit the level crossing.
The accident occurred at around 19.30 yesterday evening in Cumhuriyet Mahallesi. Ayşe Tuğçe Ercan, who wanted to cross the road from the level crossing, was the passenger train number 33027, which made the Manisa-Alaşehir trip. The unfortunate girl who was under the train was dragged for meters. Stopping the train with difficulty, the driver reported the situation to the health and police teams.
It was determined that Ercan lost his life in the control made by the medical teams who came upon the notice. The relatives of the young girl who came to the scene after receiving the news of death had a nervous breakdown. Ercan's body was taken to the Salihli State Hospital Morgu after the prosecutor's examination. Due to the accident, the train was able to move about 1,5 hours later. Police launched an investigation in case the incident could be suicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
