3 May 1873 Haydarpaşa-İzmit railway was put into service with the ceremony of Grand Vizier Rüştü Paşa in Izmit. 91 km line was built in 2 year.
3 May 1946 The basis of the Maraş-Köprüağzı connection line was laid.
