The ski season has ended at Karacadağ Ski Center, the only ski resort in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
Karacadağ Ski Center, which is 45 kilometers away from Siverek district center and named as the “Uludağı of the Southeast” among the people, served ski lovers for about two months this year.
Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Batman and Adıyaman, such as the surrounding cities and districts, visitors from the day, as well as slippage in the facility on the snow was a barbecue. The plant, which is one of the most important winter tourism centers of the region, is growing every year.
Center operator Orhan Atilla, AA correspondent, said the air temperature melted due to the increase in the snow melted on the tracks.
Atilla, indicating that they have completed the season without any problems, said the facility could be extended if the facility is further improved.
Atilla told that the runway is home to both beginner skiers and professionals, and at times the capacity of the facility is insufficient.
Emphasizing that the facility needs improvement, Atilla noted:
“We have left one of the best seasons of the last 5 years behind. We hosted approximately 20 thousand visitors in two months. Our facility, which has increased interest every year, has started to have difficulty in providing adequate service with its current capacity. Steps need to be taken to extend the track by making better use of the areas in the region and to ensure that visitors have a better time. Especially for those who come from distant places, there is a need for a place where accommodation can be made. We anticipate that the potential of the center will increase 2-3 times with the improvement in the facility.
