Iranian tourists, who ski in the daytime and have fun in discos until the first lights of the day at night, hoped for peace and tranquility by jumping over the fire they burned.

Iranian tourists coming from cities such as Tehran, Tabriz, and Urmia to Nevruz holiday filled the hotels in Palandoken Ski Center. Explaining that they come to Palandöken Ski Center in Nevruz every year, Iranians said that it is pleasing that the snow does not melt in Erzurum despite the spring. Iranian tourists flying their wish lanterns to the sky said, “We celebrate the spring festival by skiing. In the winter, we ski in Erzurum during the day, and at night we have fun at the discos until morning. In summer, we swim in Antalya and Bodrum. People of Erzurum treat us very warmly. We do not consider ourselves foreigners here. Already all the hotels are full of Iranians, ”he said.

Mehmet Varol, General Manager of Palandöken Dedeman Hotels, said that the occupancy rate reached 100 percent due to the holiday of Nevruz, 95 percent of it was made by Iranians. Mehmet Varol said, “There is both spring air and snow in Palandöken. Those who want to enjoy skiing in the sun come to Erzurum. The Iranian holiday of the Newroz will continue until the end of March. We are planning to keep the season open in Palandöken until the end of April. ”
