LIQUID HAZARD ON THE LINE
In Konya, where history gushes from all over, the ruins of the historical Yusufağa Bath were reached. While historical findings were found during the excavations around Yusufağa Library during the Alaaddin-Adliye tram line works, it was understood that the ruins were baths. Citizens, worried that the tram line will pass over a large gap where the bath is located, asked the Metropolitan Municipality to take measures.
REQUIRED MEASURES RECEIVED
Metropolitan Municipality officials made a statement to our newspaper and said, “The engineering calculations of the line were made taking into account the existence of Yusufağa Bath. In order to prevent any damage to the line or the bath, the top of the furnace found during the works was covered with 80 cm geotextile material with the permission of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Board. The spaces of the bath were covered with the same material ”.
