TCDD Nusaybin - Cizre - Silopi - Habur Double Line Railway Project Preparatory work continues

Preparations for the Nusaybin - Cizre Silopi - Habur Double Line Railway Project, which is planned to be constructed by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways, and the Railway Production Department, continue.
According to the information received by the Investments Magazine; the project, which is about 133 km, will start from the current Nusaybin Station exit and is planned to be done respectively; Cizre and Silopi Station passing through the station, leaving the borders of Turkey from Habur border will end in Iraq.
With the project to be realized within the scope of the GAP Action Plan, the railway line will be constructed at a speed of 120 km / h for freight trains and at 160 km / h for passenger trains, allowing for fast train passes.
With the completion of the double-line project, which is expected to cost around 1,8 billion liras, a full connection between Mardin and Şırnak provinces will be ensured.
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has examined the EIA report prepared by Aktif Environment company for the project and found it suitable for the format and the EIA process has started. Public Participation Meeting on EIA process will be held on 04 March 2015. The project was carried out by SWS Engineering. TCDD Railway Construction Department is planning to make a tender for the construction of the project this year with the completion of the EIA positive decision and the completion of all preparations.
