Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, said that they are undertaking the construction of the 3 metro and 1 tram line project.

In his written statement, Elvan carried out the project and construction works of the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line in Ankara, the Yenikapı-İncirli, İncirli-Sefaköy subway line in Istanbul and the Meydan-Airport-EXPO Tram line in Antalya with the decision of the Council of Ministers. and reported that the Ministry of Communications undertook.

INTEGRATION WITH OTHER METHODS

Stating that the said decree was published in the official gazette dated February 18, 2015, Elvan said, “The AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line in Ankara has been designed entirely underground with subway standards and consists of 3,3 kilometers and 3 stations. This project is the extension of the Keçiören - Atatürk Culture Center Metro line, which is carried out by our Ministry, to the Red Crescent over the station after the AKM Station. The project will integrate with the YHT at the station station, with the rail system, cable car and bus main transfer station planned by the municipality at the Adliye station, and with the Çayyolu and Batıkent metro stations at the Kızılay station ”.

YENİKAPI-İNCİRLİ 7 KILOMETER, 5 STATION

Underlining that the Yenikapı-İncirli line in Istanbul has been designed entirely underground with Metro standards, Elvan said, “The project, which consists of 7 km and 5 stations, is the extension of the Hacıosman-Taksim-Yenikapı metro line to İncirli. At Yenikapı transfer center; Marmaray and Yenikapı-Airport will be integrated with the rail system lines, and in the İncirli transfer center with the Bakırköy-Başakşehir, Bakırköy-Beylikdüzü and İdo-Kirazlı rail system lines. "By connecting uninterruptedly with the İncirli-Sefaköy line, a direct connection will be provided between Hacıosman and Beylükdüzü."

İNCİRLİ-SEFAKÖY 6 STATION

Noting that the İncirli-Sefaköy Metro line is also designed with metro standards and consists of 7,2 km and 6 stations, Elvan said, “This project includes the İncirli-Sefaköy section, which is the 1st phase of the Bakırköy-Beylükdüzü line. İncirli transfer center; It will be integrated with the Bakırköy-Başakşehir, Yenikapı-İncirli and İdo-Kirazlı rail system lines. "By connecting uninterruptedly with the Yenikapı-İncirli line, a direct connection will be provided between Hacıosman and Sefaköy."

CONTINUOUS CONNECTION TO EXPO 2016

Giving information about the Meydan-Airport-EXPO Tram line project in Antalya, Minister Elvan said:

“Approximately 16.8 km of the line is level, 1 km is cut and covered, 160 m is bridge. It has been designed with tram standards and consists of 17,2 km and 6 stations. It is the continuation of the existing 11.1 km 1st stage Kepez-Meydan tram line. With this project, the city will be connected to the airport and EXPO 2016 without interruption. "
