New Metro Line Coming to the City of Ankara

The new Metro Line is coming to the capital of Ankara: The construction of the 3 metro line, which was not completed in the capital, took over and announced a new project for the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, which opened the two. The new metro line will be built between AKM and Kızılay.

Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications undertook the construction of a new metro line to be constructed in Ankara. The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications will perform the construction of the line that will serve between Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) and Kızılay. The Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Lütfi Elvan stated that the decision of the Council of Ministers was published in the Official Gazette on the subject.

THREE STATION HAT

Atatürk Cultural Center - Gar - Kızılay subway line was designed under the ground with subway standards. It consists of 3,3 kilometers and 3 stations. This project will extend to the Kızılay through the Gar Station after the AKM Station of Keçiören-Atatürk Cultural Center line being carried out by our Ministry. The project will provide integration with YHT at the Gar station and the rail system, cable car and bus main transfer station planned by the municipality at the Courthouse station, and Çayyolu and Batıkent metro stations at the Kızılay station. ”

MINISTRY OF RETURN PROJECT

The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications took over 3 metro lines, the construction of which was started by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and could not be completed even after a long time. After completing the construction of the Kızılay-Çayyolu and Batıkent-Sincan lines, which were included in these three projects, the Ministry launched the Çayyolu and Sincan subways in 2011. The Ministry's works on the Atatürk Cultural Center - Keçiören line continue. AKM-Gar-Kızılay will be the fourth project that the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications will undertake.
