ATSO President Budak: The rumors about the high speed train coming to Antalya do not reflect the truth. Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) President Çetin Osman Budak made a proposal to build an airport in the Finike-Demre-Kaş region in order to facilitate the transportation of tourists coming to the western districts of Antalya.

A joint board meeting was held by ATSO, Kumluca Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) and Kumluca Commodity Exchange (KUTBO). The first joint board meeting was held in KUTSO Kumluca central service building. ATSO President Çetin Osman Budak, KUTSO President Murat Hüdavendigar Günay, KUTBO President Fatih Durdaş, board members and council members attended the meeting. Issues such as tourism, agriculture and transportation that concern Antalya in general were also discussed at the meeting where the problems of the Western Antalya region were discussed.

TOURISM AND AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS

KUTSO President Murat Hüdavendigar Günay said that they made a very important start for business life in Antalya. Stating that they serve 3 thousand businessmen in Kumluca, Finike, Demre and Kaş, KUTSO President Günay said, “Currently, our studies on the development and dissemination of alternative tourism in the Western Antalya region are continuing. We are carrying out various projects in order to bring the Lycian roads to tourism in the full sense. In addition, we are working on export in order to increase the income obtained from agriculture, which is another important source of income in the region, and to ensure its stability. We are acting jointly with TOBB to solve the problems of our exporters in transportation, customs clearance and marketing ”.

'HIGHWAY IS NOT CONSIDERED FOR ANTALYA'

Stating that they had a late meeting, ATSO President Çetin Osman Budak said that many new investments are needed especially in the western districts of Antalya. Even in our most recent meetings with the relevant authorities, it is stated that there is no high-speed train operation for Antalya until 2035 ”.

Çetin Osman Budak, who raised the proposal to build a cruise port in Demre with a new airport in the vicinity of Finike-Demre-Kaş in order to facilitate the transportation of tourists, especially to western districts, pointed out that the airport and cruise port will make a great contribution to the tourism of the region. ATSO President Çetin Osman Budak, who added that Antalya could not get the value added to the country in terms of agricultural production, export and tourism, said that they could produce projects that would produce permanent solutions to the problems of the region's economy by acting in closer cooperation with KUTSO and KUTBO.
