Emergency Health Services General Manager Assoc. Dr. Osman Arıkan Nacar gave detailed information about the working system, training and duty areas of UMKE teams. Nacar said, 'UMKE is ready to serve in many natural disasters and disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, avalanches, traffic accidents and so on, whenever needed. 'UMKE', established for search, rescue and medical response after disasters, is a structure consisting entirely of volunteer health workers. The first team was established in 2004, and in 2006 it became organized in 81 provinces.
Noting that UMKE still serves with 6 volunteers, Nacar gave the following information:
