Maltepe Esenkent pedestrian overpass removed

Maltepe Esenkent pedestrian overpass was removed: The pedestrian overpass in front of the Metro Station on the Maltepe Esenkent D-100 Highway was removed. Pedestrians started to use the METRO underpass to cross the street.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality lifts pedestrian overpasses on main arteries. Sirkeci, Pertevniyal, ITU Ayazağa and Topkapı Pazartekke pedestrian overpass were removed in order to ensure comfortable passage of pedestrians.
Maltepe Esenkent pedestrian overpass, which weighs about 180 tons, was completed in 5 at night. 25 January January 2015 Saturday night midway dismantling work began. The first stage of the work carried out in the form of two stages lasted until the morning. In the morning, the road closed for security reasons opened to traffic.

Since there is an underpass of Esenkent Metro Station in the area, there is no disruption in the passage of the pedestrian overpass. Pedestrians pass through the subway subway easily.
