Heavy snowfall on Bolu Mountain affects transportation: While snowfall negatively affects transportation at the crossings of Bolu Mountain, Highways teams carried out snow plowing and salting work on the routes.
Snowfall that started yesterday evening was effective intermittently until the morning hours. Transportation slowed down in Bolu Mountain's TEM Highway and D-100 Highway crossings due to snowfall. While the snowfall was effective on the ground, the Highways teams carried out snow plowing and salting work on the routes.
Long vehicle convoys were formed due to the work of the Highways teams after the heavy snowfall especially in the Darkdere and Seymenler regions of the Bolu Mountain pass on the D-100 Highway. While three vehicles belonging to the highways opened the road by shoveling the snow side by side, a convoy was formed behind the vehicles. At the entrance of the Bolu Mountain Tunnel of the TEM Highway, drivers are warned about snowfall with electronic signs.
