10 out of 4 toll booths will be closed for 2 weeks at FSM Bridge

Four of the 10 booths will be closed for 4 weeks on the FSM Bridge: Istanbul Governorship, OGS and HGS Free Toll Collection System test studies, on the Sultan Sultan Bridge, on January 2, Sunday night from 25 to 01.00 on Sunday, 8 February. He announced that 14.00 out of 10 box offices will be closed to passes, and that the crossings will be made from 4 box offices.
In the statement made by the Governorship about the subject, it was said:
“The construction of Free Pass Fee Collection Systems on Highway and Bosphorus Bridges was designed and tendered by the General Directorate of Highways. Within the scope of the project, firstly, constructions (TAKs) where vehicles can make common passes were established in the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge box office area, OGS and HGS sensors were placed in these constructions, and a 5-lane vehicle pass was provided.
Due to the large completion of the Free Toll Collection System test, the removal of toll islands and canopies, asphalt paving works on the highway surface and horizontal and vertical traffic marking studies will be made and the highway will be ready for vehicle passage.
During these studies, the necessary signs on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and the number 1, 2, 3 and 4 tolls will be closed to traffic, traffic flow will be provided from tolls 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, where vehicles labeled OGS and HGS will use the same lane.
The works will start on Sunday, 25.01.2015 at 01.00, and will be completed on Sunday, 08.02.2015 at 14.00.
During the works, all necessary safety precautions will be taken and necessary traffic signs will be made according to the approved traffic project. Drivers must strictly adhere to the traffic signs and markers on the road. ”
