The interest of foreign tourists in Erciyes is increasing: Approximately 1,5 thousand foreign tourists from Holland, Germany, France and Russia visited Erciyes in a period of approximately 3 months.
The number of foreign tourists coming to Turkey's Erciyes most important ski centers is increasing every year.
Erciyes General Manager Murat Cahid Cıngı, carried out by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Erciyes Winter Sports and Tourism Center started to take the fruits of investments made within the scope, he said.
Reminding that they have solved the infrastructure problem to a great extent in Erciyes and made tenders for 17 hotel locations, 4 of which are boutique and 21-star, Cıngı said that 9 of these hotels have started construction and they expect three of them to be put into service this season.
Stating that Erciyes now has a capacity of 600 beds and that as this capacity increases, they can invite more people to the ski center, Cıngı emphasized that they have become a very popular center in the country.
Explaining that with the increase in hotel investments in Erciyes, they also accelerated their international promotion activities and participated in international fairs, Cıngı said:
“We bring tour operators to Erciyes and show them around, explaining the work done and our facilities to the finest detail. Although the number of foreign tourists was around one thousand in these months last year, this year it reached 3 thousand. Approximately 1,5 thousand foreign tourists from Holland, Germany, France and Russia visited Erciyes in approximately 3 months. We aim to host 25 thousand tourists from different countries until the end of the season. Of course, there are also a few tourists from countries such as Malaysia, Iran, Iraq, Turkmenistan and Bulgaria. We come across many foreign tourists by chance on the tracks. Stating that foreign tourists who came to Erciyes last year brought others with them this year, Cıngı said, “Our main advertisement is the quality of service we offer. "Every visitor we are satisfied with becomes our volunteer promotion ambassador."
Emphasizing that 275 thousand domestic and foreign tourists have come to Erciyes since the beginning of the season and that they are targeting 2 million visitors by the end of the season, Cıngı stated that they expect to reach at least 25 thousand foreign tourists.
