Details of the high-speed train project, which will connect Antalya, also known as the tourism train, with Kayseri, have emerged. The details made it clear that the project will be carried out in a difficult geography. Following the project closely, AK Party Antalya Deputy Sadık Badak gave important information about the line that will connect Antalya to Kayseri via Konya. Stating that the stops to be found on the aforesaid line may change during construction, Badak stated that the high-speed train will pass through Kepez, Aksu, Serik, Manavgat, Seydişehir and Beyşehir and reach Konya.
Stating that the total length of the Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevşehir-Kayseri high-speed train line is 639 kilometers, Badak said, “There are 47 bridges and viaducts in the project and the total length of these bridges is 14 thousand 45 meters. In addition, there are 60 tunnels from Antalya to Kayseri. The length of these tunnels is 137 thousand 892 meters. According to the current discovery, the total cost of the line between Antalya and Kayseri is 11 billion 576 million lira ”.
Stating that the most difficult and important part of the line is between Antalya and Konya, Badak said, “The number of bridges and viaducts between Antalya and Konya is 32 and the length is 10 meters. There are a total of 590 tunnels on this route. The length of the tunnels is 29 thousand 92 meters. Half of the tunnels in the entire project are on this line, while 687 percent of the total will be built on this line ”.
Pointing out that the weight is between Manavgat and Konya in terms of both cost and construction difficulties, Badak said, “There is an Antalya-Alanya line currently being added to the project. Manavgat will be the common point between Antalya and Alanya for the Konya line. State Railways has a high-speed train construction section and an operating section. The expedition and sailing arrangements of the trains will occur near the end of the project. This is another subject of expertise. "At the moment, the transactions related to investment and infrastructure are carried out with great care."
