Operating in Akdağ Ski Center at 120 altitude, where the snow thickness reaches 700 centimeters, the occupancy at the hotel has reached 60 percent. Domestic and foreign tourists to Ladik enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
Celal Şen, the manager of the hotel in the ski center, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that in Akdağ, where the snow thickness reaches 120 centimeters, the snow on the track is 40 centimeters.
Stating that they have recorded a significant increase in reservations due to the semester break, Şen said, “The occupancy rate of the hotel is 60 percent but our estimation will increase to 100 percent. "Our facility is very crowded especially on weekends due to our guests coming from Çorum, Giresun, Ordu, Amasya and Tokat."
Explaining that they spend a longer season compared to other ski resorts, Şen said that because the ground of the facility is a pasture, "Our track is in total vertical length of 500 meters and is at a higher level than most medium-sized ski resorts."
Sen, last week about 5 thousand people in the facility, they are accommodating, this week-end 10 thousand people said they expect the holiday.
