Expressing that the next process is the completion of engineering projects, Minister Elvan said, “We are going to tender about this. We are bidding on 22nd January 2015 for the industrial and engineering design of the national high-speed train. ”
As a result, Elvan said that after the general design of the national high-speed train, they would have started industrial and engineering design and that they planned to reduce the high-speed train to 2018.
“80 DOMESTIC TERMS WILL BE SEEKED FOR THE 51 YHT SET”
Minister Elvan, on the other hand, stated that the works for 80 high-speed trains are continuing and said, “Here we will seek at least 51 percent local and domestic common condition. We will also keep these trains to be made compulsory in Turkey. In this framework, there will be a serious preparation for the construction of our own national high-speed train. I think we will bid in a very short time like 80 month for the supply of these 1 train sets. ”
“WE WILL START THE PRODUCTION OF NATIONAL ELECTRIC TRAIN SETS AFTER A SHORT TIME”
Elvan, on the other hand, stated that the works on the national electric train sets are continuing, he said:
“We have completed the design work. The tender for detailed engineering studies has been concluded. We will hold a signing ceremony in the coming days. We will start production of electric train sets, which will be completely domestic, shortly.
Electric train sets are really what we need, even a set that is in high demand from abroad. The work is going well. In the coming days, we will enter the production process after detailed project design, electronic and engineering design studies. We also consider this for export. It will be produced by TÜVASAŞ. High speed train and electric train sets will run parallel to each other. In this way, Turkey will be fully gained their national domestic high-speed trains and electric train set. "
