We tied the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project to reconciliation: Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, 'We have tied the Silk Road Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, which will provide an uninterrupted connection from London to Beijing'.

There are also close links between Azerbaijan and Georgia. In this consultation meeting, we discussed regional issues and sustainable peace issues. We aim to create a trustworthy and solid ground. We reviewed the decisions taken at Trabzon meetings on June 8, 2012, Batumi on March 28, 2013 and Ganja on February 19, 2014. In our meeting, we reaffirmed the importance we attach to globally renowned regional energy and transportation projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and TANAP. In this context, we have agreed on the Silk Road Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, which will provide an uninterrupted connection from London to Beijing, ”he said.
