Ski training for university students on Ilgaz Mountain: Students of Anadolu University Faculty of Sport Sciences Recreation Department received practical ski training at Ilgaz Mountain Ski Center.
In the scope of winter sports camp, 4 day training was given to the students who came to the ski resort to provide ski equipment, basic techniques, snow sling style, stop techniques and balance.
Faculty of Sport Sciences Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Hayri Ertan said they came to Kastamonu to teach their students winter sports practically.
Noting that thanks to the training, students will have the necessary knowledge about skiing before entering the business life, Ertan said, “We will try to ski with the facilities of our university and the wonderful atmosphere of Ilgaz Mountain. Ilgaz Mountain is an incredible atmosphere. I will not say 'hidden paradise' because now everyone knows Ilgaz. Ilgaz is one of the most beautiful centers in the world. More than skiing here, I even enjoy passing here. I also know that the people of Kastamonu own it here. I thank everyone who offered these opportunities to our students ”.
Head of Recreation Department Asst. Assoc. Dr. Kerem Yildirim Simsek told us that the recreation was the planning of people's leisure time.
Stating that they did this for two periods as winter and summer camps, Şimşek said, “I think we were the first to come to Ilgaz Mountain in this sense. In that sense, it was good for us. "After teaching stopping techniques and snow slingshot, we will go up and slide little by little."
Asst. Assoc. Dr. Müge Akyıldız also stated that they chose Ilgaz because of its very clean air and that they enjoyed it on the slopes of the mountain.
Emphasizing that they came to them for the first time despite the season not opened and they had lessons in a beautiful environment, Akyıldız stated that Ilgaz Mountain is very suitable for skiing due to its crystallized snow.
