BTK railway line will be discussed in the triple summit

Tripartite summit in the BTK railway line 'will be discussed: Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia trilateral summit held in Azerbaijan in the end of February between the foreign ministers will meet in Kars today.
The meeting takes place after the visit of Russia's President Putin to Ankara, where relations between Georgia and Abkhazia and South Ossetia are strained. Putin suggested that, on the border with Greece and Turkey to the effects of the gas pipeline that will reach from there to Europe will also be on the agenda of the meeting.
It is not expected to sign a new agreement, the purpose of this meeting is to control the implementation of agreements signed in the past and to expand the areas of regional cooperation.
Acceleration efforts in the railway line
The joint projects of the three countries are the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum natural gas pipeline, which is operational in 2006, the TANAP natural gas pipeline which will be laid in 2007 and its foundation in 2015. There is a Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line. Negotiations continue to end the railway line as soon as possible.
At the summit in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, the leaders of the three countries came together. Period of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, stated that Georgia brought rapid progress of the Georgian section of the railway line until the meeting with the President of Turkey, had exchanged ideas about what needs to be done to accelerate.
During a meeting in Kars, Mevlut Cavusoglu will also hold bilateral talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Medemyarov. Relations with the Nagorno-Karabakh region and Iran will be discussed.
