The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications reported that the production processes of the vehicles related to Marmaray, which are the subject of some news today, were not completed and that these vehicles, which are the responsibility of the contractor, will be put into service after the completion of the test processes.
The ministry said in a statement today that the news of Marmaray vehicles in a newspaper did not reflect the truth.
In the statement that Marmaray was opened on 29 October 2013 and 52 million passengers were carried so far, the following were recorded:
“There are 272 daily trips and 172 thousand citizens travel by Marmaray. Working vehicles are vehicles that have been delivered after completing their test processes.
The production processes of the vehicles subject to the news have not been completed and on-vehicle equipment has not been installed. Vehicles that are under the responsibility of the contractor / manufacturer. These vehicles will be put into service when the test processes are completed and delivered to TCDD. The allegations in the news are untrue.
