“In general, 40 percent of the highway between Istanbul and Izmir has been completed, and we will complete the Izmit Bay crossing at the end of 2015. The part of the highway in Izmir is 35 kilometers, but this is the most difficult part of the total project. In this section, two viaducts will be made, namely Bornova and Turgutlu viaducts. 6.3 million dollars will be spent on the part of the project of approximately 474 billion dollars in İzmir. We are planning to complete the Belkahve Tunnel in 2016. Next end of the tunnel will be held next August, and the two ends of the tunnel will join. Bornova 2 thousand 238-meter-long viaduct between Turkey's No. viaduct, this will be completed in December next year. Turgutlu viaduct is 407 meters long. It will also be completed next June. After the completion of the project, Istanbul will decrease between İzmir and 3.5 hours. Project work is ahead of the projected. Due to the structure of İzmir, due to its geographical location, the slope and the black spot are many, these problems will be eliminated with this project. The highway will be merged with the İzmir-Aydın highway. There are serious problems in the city crossing in Kemalpaşa, so a connection road to Kemalpaşa is being made for the 6.5-kilometer highway, which will end in July. ”
Later, Minister Elvan, who went to İzmir Port, visited the port with his office van and received information at the Port Operation Directorate.
