Konya-Karaman railway 2nd line will be put into service in 2015

Konya-Karaman railway 2nd line will be launched in 2015: Works on Konya and Karaman line will be carried out in two stages. First, the 2nd line of the train will be opened for use. In addition to the line expected to open in 2015, the rest will be completed by 2018.
With the realization of the project, trains will be shifted to 200 double speed operation according to speed. In addition, the existing line will be adapted to the high-speed train standard with the completion of the lower and superstructure works on the second line. With the start of the expeditions, the road length between 1 hours and 13 minutes will be reduced to 40 minutes between Konya and Karaman.
The service of the old trains was interrupted as of December 1, in the train line works, where the works continue rapidly. With the application, which is said to be made to speed things up, Konya residents will not be able to use their trains for 4 months. For this short-term operation, the municipality is directed to the passenger transport buses connected with the High Speed ​​Train. For the acceleration of the project, DMU includes the Central Anatolia Blue train and Toros express services.
