The first passengers of the High Speed Train (YHT) flight, which was opened yesterday by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, which reduced the travel time between Konya and Istanbul to 4 hours and 15 minutes, arrived in Konya.
The first of the YHT flights, which reduced the travel distance between the Anatolian Seljuk capital Konya and the capital of the Ottoman State to Istanbul, to 4 hours and 15 minutes, was held today.
Departing from Istanbul at 07.10, YHT came to Konya Train Station around 11.30. Passengers had the happiness to reach Konya and travel comfortably in a short time.

After President Erdogan announced that the flights were free in the first week, it was learned that the citizens were attacking promotional tickets. For this reason, it was stated that the tickets were exhausted from the first day.

Güler Karadeniz, one of the passengers, told the AA reporter that they were happy to reach Konya with YHT in a short time.

Abdullah Akyuz also stated that he had come to Konya with his private vehicle before, but when he saw the comfort and convenience at YHT, he no longer thought of driving his car on arrivals. Akyüz said, “I come from Kocaeli. We made a very comfortable journey. It was very nice. God bless those who do. I have come with my car before, but it is more comfortable like this. ”

Student Arda Keskinkılıç emphasized that she was her second visit to Konya and added:
“I had come from Izmit with the old train before. It took quite a long time, over 10 hours. I got on again from Izmit in 3,5 hours. It was a very comfortable and easy trip. The fact that it was free the first week also attracted us. We came for a day trip. ”
YHT flights started with a ceremony in Konya
High Speed Train reduced travel time between Konya and Istanbul, which took 10-11 hours by bus and 13 hours by conventional train, to 4 hours and 15 minutes.
