The freight train carrying coal derailed: Two wagons of the freight train carrying coal from Divriği District of Sivas to Aşkale District of Erzurum were derailed. While there were no injuries in the accident, mutual train services stopped.
The incident occurred at around 01.30:45326, near Bagistas Station in the Ilic district of Erzincan. Two wagons of the 12-wagon freight train carrying coal from Divriği District of Sivas to Aşkale District of Eruzurm, under the direction of mechanic İlyas Aslan, derailed. While the train services between Erzurum and Erzincan were stopped due to the accident, work was started to reopen the road.
On the other hand, the passengers of the trains that made the Eastern Express service number 41409 Kars-Istanbul and Ankara-Kars service number 11410 had to cross Divriği-Mercan by buses.
