Two mechanics were injured when the train carrying coal between Zonguldak and Karabük fell in Yenice district. Under the direction of machinists İsmail Belen and Aslan Kavuk, the freight train carrying coal from Zonguldak to KARDEMİR in Karabük fell into the HEPP canal for an undetermined reason in the Kayadibi location.
Belen and Kavuk were injured in the accident. The wounded, 112 Emergency Service teams were taken to Karabük Training and Research Hospital.
EXPLANATION FROM TCDD
Republic of Turkey General Directorate of State Railways Administration (TCDD), Karabük-Zonguldak who make the voyage aboard the freight train 24231 Kayadibi position, at which derailed due to the flood of comments made about the overthrow.
In the written statement made by TCDD, the following statements were made, stating that the incident occurred on December 30th at around 21.20 hours: “The railway line of the water due to the water flood occurring in the Akes hydroelectric power station located in the region at Kayadibi location in Zonguldak-Karabük expedition. and then fell off the rail as a result of his failure. Ismail Dolan and Arslan Kocak, the engineers of the overturned train, were slightly injured and were immediately treated at Yenice State Hospital. Arslan Koçak, one of the machinists whose first interventions were made, was discharged. The treatment of İsmail Dolan is completed and kept under observation. Our machinist has been reported to have good health. ” It was also noted that efforts are under way to restart railway traffic interrupted by the incident.
