Feasibility study in Ankara-Istanbul second YHT line

Feasibility study on the Ankara-Istanbul second YHT line: Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, for the 80-kilometer section of the high-speed train line, which will directly connect Ankara to Istanbul and reduce the travel time to 280 minutes. Stating that feasibility studies were carried out, “5-6 companies expressed their interest. If our companies show interest, we would like to be tendered in 2015 ”.

Minister Elvan reminded that they opened the Ankara-Eskişehir-Istanbul YHT line and the travel time decreased to 3,5 hours. Expressing that the YHT line, which will directly connect Ankara to Istanbul, has also been carried out, Elvan said that feasibility studies have been carried out on this line for the 280 km section from Sincan to Köseköy.

Expressing that they want to realize the construction of this line with build-operate-transfer model, Elvan said:

“We give this feasibility study and detailed information to companies interested in Ankara-Istanbul YHT line. 5-6 companies stated that they are interested. In this line, YHTs will speed up to 350 kilometers per hour and our citizens will reach Istanbul from Ankara in 1 hour 15 minutes, maximum 1,5 hours. If our companies show interest, we want to bid in 2015. ”
