The fast train dream of Antalya finally came true

Antalya's fast train dream came true at the end: AK Party Antalya deputy Sadik Badak, waiting at the end of the fast train dream of waiting for the people of Antalya said it was real.

Providing information about the latest state of the high-speed train project, which will play an important role in increasing the tourism and trade potential of Antalya, AK Party Antalya Deputy Sadık Badak said that the Antalya-Istanbul line will benefit the business world and the Antalya-Kayseri line will benefit the tourism sector.

DREAMS WAS REAL
Reminding that their hope was only to connect to Istanbul via Eskişehir when they set out in 1994, Sadık Badak said, “The project of the Eskişehir-Kütahya-Ayfon-Keçiborlu-Antalya line has been completed. This project is a project for carrying more freight and domestic passengers. An alternative created to carry the local tourist potential in Istanbul and Marmara Region to Antalya safely and comfortably. Another important aspect of this is that Afyon, Isparta, Burdur, Bucak and Antalya connect the organized industrial zones (OIZ) to Antalya Port. "It is a line that will allow not only the import and export loads of the OIZs, but also the other bulk cargoes such as marble, clinker, cement and cereals formed in the region to reach Antalya Port.

PRIORITY KEÇİBORLU
Stating that the Antalya-Eskişehir project will consist of 4 stages, Badak said, “We demand that Antalya-Keçiborlu should be built first. If each stage lasts for two years, after ours is finished, the loads of the whole region will be connected to the conventional line in Keçiborlu and will start to land in Antalya Port. In this sense, we demand priority ”.

CONTRIBUTION TO TOURISM
Stating that Kayseri-Nevşehir-Konya-Manavgat-Antalya line will be a passenger priority line, Badak said, “It is a line that anticipates the transportation of foreign tourists coming to Antalya to Konya, Nevşehir and Ankara. The feasibility of this project has been understood in terms of engineering and its projects have been completed. Implementation projects will now be tendered. This project will ensure that 20 percent of the 20 million tourists coming to Antalya will be transported to Central Anatolia every year within the scope of belief, city, nature and history tourism. Thus, more added value can be obtained from the incoming tourists ”.

10 METER TUNNEL IN THE DAY
Stating that Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his deputies closely followed the issue in the Ministries of Transport and Development, Badak explained the reasons for the long schedule of the project as follows: “Both projects will take 3-4 years after they start. It can actually end in a year and a half on the flat plain. But there are very long tunnels around here. The tunnel boring machine's maximum progress per day is 10 meters. When you move forward by opening 10 meters of tunnels up to 10 thousand meters a day, the time inevitably gets longer. In other words, the tunnel digging machine determines the time. "

1000 DOLLARS PER PERSON
Pointing out that with the activation of the Antalya-Konya-Nevşehir-Kayseri line, a tourism movement will start both in Central Anatolia and a new package tour opportunity will be provided to travel agencies, “Thus, an element that will increase tourism expenditure per person will emerge. Our state aims to increase its spending per capita from 750 dollars to thousand dollars. In our tourism target for 2023, 50 million tourists and 50 million dollars in tourism income. For this, we need to increase the per capita expenditures to thousand dollars. They will host the tourists in Nevşehir, Ürgüp, Göreme, Konya and Ankara for 2 days, and they will have seen Anatolian culture and Turkish history while enabling them to spend more money ”.
