Giant projects of İzmir were included in the 2015 investment program on transportation. While it was announced that Çandarlı Port will be put out to tender with the BOT (build-operate-transfer) method for the infrastructure and superstructure of the breakwater, the infrastructure of the logistic center construction within the scope of the Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone railway connection line will be completed. On the other hand, it was stated that the construction works of the Ankara-Afyonkarahisar section of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed Train project will continue and the tender for the construction of the Afyonkarahisar-Uşak-İzmir section will be made.
Quality will be increased
2015 year investment program was announced. According to the program, the largest share of public fixed capital investments will be the transportation sector with 31. With the port of Çandarlı, Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone will get a share from the program. In the investment program, the tender for the construction of the Afyonkarahisar-Uşak-İzmir section will be made.
According to the 2015 Program, it was aimed to provide freight and passenger transportation services in the fields of transportation and logistics effectively, efficiently, economically, environmentally, safely. It was stated that in freight transportation, it would be essential to improve the combined transportation practices, increase the rail and maritime shares, increase the quality and safety and move to the corridor approach in transportation planning. Public fixed capital investment of 25 billion 776 million lira is planned in the transportation sector. The private sector is expected to invest 58 billion 610 million lira in transportation.
Accidents to be prevented
In the 2015, efforts will be made to reduce accidents. In areas with high traffic density to increase traffic safety and shorten the transportation time of the 200 highway, a thousand kilometers to the road will be divided highway. Priority will be given to the construction of the high-speed train core network as defined in the Tenth Development Plan of Ankara and to the construction of high-standard railway constructions suitable for combined traffic and electrification and signaling projects. Air Transport General Study will be initiated and developed. Priority will be given to transport systems that provide energy efficiency, clean fuel and environmentally friendly vehicles.
Vehicle Identification System will be created
In order to monitor and facilitate the flow of traffic, in order to ensure deterrence in compliance with the rules, electronic monitoring systems will be firstly expanded in the 21 metropolitan and the traffic audits will be activated. An advanced security, operable and sustainable Vehicle Identification System will be established against violations such as infiltration and cloning. Within the scope of traffic safety studies, 130 units signalized intersection with 100 crash points and 2 thousand 400 kilometer guardrail construction and repair will be carried out.
