Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran Railway Line to Open on December 3

Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran Railway Line will be opened on 3 December: Kazakhstan Turkmenistan Iran international railway line will be opened on 3 December with a ceremony.

The Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran international railway line will be opened with a ceremony on December 3.

Turkmenistan-Iran section of the railway will be opened with the opening. The Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan section of the giant project was opened in May last year.

With the commissioning of the railway, a low-cost and fast transportation corridor will be created in Europe, Central and South Asia in the direction of the Middle East.

With the agreement signed between Kazakhstan, Iran and Turkmenistan in 2007, it is aimed to carry 3-5 million tons of cargo every year on the railway line. The amount of cargo carried in the coming period is expected to increase to 10-12 million tons.

The 82 kilometer of the railway line is Iran, the 700 kilometer is Turkmenistan, and the 120 kilometer passes through the borders of Kazakhstan.

Heads of the respective countries are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the line.
