11 November 1961 The first General Manager of State Railways Behiç Erkin passed away at the age of 84. The Chief General Officer of Colonel Behiç (Erkin) Bey State Railways, who passed from Istanbul to Ankara during the National Struggle, was appointed. Behiç Bey, who served in the years 1921–26, was buried in the triangle at the Eskişehir station where the Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara lines meet. TCDD General Directorate built a memorial tomb.
11 November 2010 Seyrantepe station started to serve.
