The Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication Lütfi Elvan, who wants to get a nostalgic tram to Karaman, conveyed this request to the Mayor of Karaman, Ertuğml Çalışkan and instructed them to prepare the infrastructure. President Ertugrul Caliskan met with the Mayor of Konya Tahir Akyürek, the request of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality to buy new trams and the end of the trams to be installed in Karaman conveyed the demand.
President Akyürek's tramway project will start at the beginning of 2015. because all of the new trams of Konya Metropolitan Municipality have not been put into service.
