Flash Haydarpaşa Station statement from the Minister: Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, stated that the second line related to the Seyrantepe connection in the subway will be opened in March 2015.
Elvan, together with Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin, visited the Eurasia Tunnel Project, which will cross the Bosphorus by road tube passage. After his examinations, Elvan had breakfast with press members and project staff, and answered questions here.
On a question about the debates about the transformation of Haydarpaşa Train Station into a hotel or another building, Elvan said, “Obviously, there is no official request for us so far. As the ministry, we do not have such an agenda. There is no request from the Privatization Administration or any other institution for Haydarpaşa Train Station. "I think we should look at this gara we care very much like our pupils."
Elvan also shared the information that the second line of the metro Seyrantepe connection will be opened in March 2.
