Kazakistandan railway attack: new railways connecting the country to the east and north lines

New railway lines connecting the country from east to west and north to south were put into service in Kazakhstan, the ninth largest country in the world in terms of area.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave the first signal with a ceremony held in Jezkazgan to the railroad line connecting Jezkazgan in Karaganda in Central Kazakhstan and Beyneu, an oil region on the Caspian Sea coast in West Kazakhstan.

At the ceremony, the signal was also given for the line that connects Arkalyk city in Kostanay province in Northern Kazakhstan and Shubarkol in Karaganda in Central Kazakhstan.

While the lines are expected to give a strong impetus to the development of Central and West Kazakhstan, whose new regional development program has been announced, and the new lines added to the existing lines will carry cargo from east to west and from north to south.

The construction of the lines with a length of more than 200 kilometers, tendered by the Kazakhstan National Railway Company (Kazahstan Temir Joli - KTJ), started in June 2012.

According to the KTJ statement, it will increase the potential of the new railway lines commissioned to transition to transport corridors from Russia and Europe to China.

In June 2014, KTJ signed a commercial transactions and financing agreement with Sberbank, the largest bank operating in the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States, for the construction of long-distance railways.

KTJ, which is allocated 3,6 billion dollar pre-charge for the projects in question by Sberbank, built a thousand 5 mileage railway line within the country in the last 641 year.

Kazakhstan, which is not connected to the sea due to its wide area, economic and geographical features, is largely dependent on the transportation system for its oil and natural gas supply. The Trans Asian Railway Northern Corridor connects China, the largest exporting country in the world, to the European continent after the European Union. 11 thousand kilometers of Trans Asian Railway North Corridor, also known as the Silk Road railway; It starts from Chongqing, the great city of southwestern China, and reaches Duisburg in northwest Germany. The line, which was commissioned in 2011, passes through the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and reaches Kazakhstan and respectively Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. Hewlett Packard, an international data processing company based in California, USA, announced last year that it was carrying 4 million notebooks from the railway line, which is of great importance in world trade.

KTJ President Asgar Mamin noted that the carrying capacity of the Silk Road-railway line increased by 2013 in 84.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which is expected to be completed in the second half of 2015, will make a great contribution to the trade of the region.
