Singapore plans to launch its sixth subway line

Singapore plans to implement its sixth subway line: Singapore is currently planning to build the sixth subway line known as the East Zone Line (ERL). The new line will be 13 km long and will be built on the 9 station, as reported by the Land Transportation Department (LTA). It is planned to operate this line together with the Thomson Line and thus connect the eastern part of Singapore with the northern region.

With the Thomson Line (TEL) the length of the whole line will be 43 km and the 31 station will be found. The ERL is planned to be built in two stages. The first two remaining stations in 7 station 2023 will also be opened one year later.

The construction of TEL was started at the end of July and the first phase is planned to be opened in 2019.
